About AVK GUMMI A/S

Rubber production started back in 1955, and today the production is carried out with modern, high-tech machinery.

In 2001 AVK GUMMI commissioned one of the world's most advanced, fully automatic rubber mixing plants.

AVK Sealing Technology (Kunshan) Co., Ltd.

1955 Production starts as part of a factory producing toy bicycles.
1975 Niels Aage Kjær founds AVK GUMMI ApS. Background in water industry.
1980 Knud Flemming Madsen becomes joint owner and Managing Director of AVK GUMMI. Background in food industry. A total of 9 employees.
1986 A new 3,000 m² factory is built. 45 employees.
1991 Expansion of the factory area to 5,000 m². ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certificates are obtained 
2001 The world's most advanced mixing plant is taken into use. Total built-up area 10,000 m².
2002 QS 9000 and OHSAS 18001 (work environment) certificates are obtained. ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certificates are renewed.
2004 Production and sales established in Kunshan (China).
2005 New 2,500 m² distribution warehouse is opened. Total built-up area 12,500 m².
2006 TS 16949 certificate is obtained.
2007 New production hall is built. Extension of the administration block. Total built-up area 15,000 m². 185 employees.
2008 Recertification of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 together with ISO 9001 and ISO/TS 16949 certificates.
2009 AVK GUMMI obtains a license to display the 3-A Symbol
(Third Party Verification). 
2010 Peter Lorentzen takes over the position as Managing Director. The executive management of AVK GUMMI now consists of Peter Lorentzen and Anders Guldbæk Christensen, Sales and Marketing Director.
2011 ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certifications are obtained at AVK Sealing Technology.
