AVK GUMMI is a responsible and environmentally conscious company that shows consideration for employees, neighbours, customers and other partners. Consequently, production takes place under conditions where preventive measures are taken in order to continuously reduce the impacts on the environment. 

Attention is paid to reduce the CO₂ emission by constantly reducing the energy consumption, e.g. through waste heat recovery. If we expand our factory or other parts of the company, we seek a solution that is both energy-economizing and CO₂ reducing. 

It is a matter of course for AVK GUMMI to be at the forefront of development and to ensure that all actions are in compliance with both national and international environmental legislation.

The production environment at AVK GUMMI, which is certified in accordance with ISO 14001, is extraordinarily clean and safe. By taking such precautionary measures, we are able to provide our customers with rubber components of a constantly high quality and at the same time keep our delivery performance at an optimum level.  

The management system of AVK GUMMI supports the determined policies and relevant environmental legislation as well as the requirements set out in ISO 14001. 

Furthermore, the management system is improved on an ongoing

basis, which makes it an efficient and easily comprehensible environmental management tool with explicit guidelines for all employees.

Finally, the management system is adjusted to organisational changes on an ongoing basis.

The environmental performance of AVK GUMMI is improved through the fact that it is the duty and responsibility of all employees to seek to:

• Reduce the relative consumption of raw materials, semi-finished components and processing aids
• Recycle in the way that all waste should be handled as part of the recycling plan. Whenever this is not possible, the waste must be disposed of in the best possible way
• Substitute raw materials, semi-finished products and processing aids whenever possible, with the aim of improving the environmental impact and the working environment of AVK GUMMI
• Dismiss raw materials, semi-finished products and processing aids that will increase AVK GUMMI’s environmental impact compared to other alternatives
• Consider ressource consumption and environmental issues when investing in new assets
