3-A Sanitary Standards, Inc. is a U.S. organisation that serves the public health by developing standards and practices for equipment and systems and for the advancement of food and dairy sanitation.

DVGW (Deutscher Verein des Gas- und Wasserfaches e.V. - Technisch-wissenschaftlicher Verein = DVGW German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water) is the largest gas and water industry certification body in Europe, covering all the certification procedures required in the gas and water sectors. The main objective of all certification work is to ensure that there are no safety, hygiene or environmental objections to the products and companies certified.

The European Chemicals Agency (REACH) manage the registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction processes for chemical substances to ensure consistency across the European Union. These REACH processes are designed to provide additional information on chemicals, to ensure their safe use, and to ensure competitiveness of the European industry.

The European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group (EHEDG) is a consortium of equipment manufacturers, food industries, research institutes as well as public health authorities. EHEDG was founded in 1989 with the aim to promote hygiene during the processing and packing of food products.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is an agency within the Department of Health and Human Services. The agency is responsible for protecting the public health by assuring the safety, efficacy, and security of human and veterinary drugs, biological products, medical devices, food supply, cosmetics, and products that emit radiation.

The National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) is a not-for-profit U.S. organisation that provides certification and writes standards for food, water, and consumer goods.

The UK Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS) is funded by all the UK Water Suppliers. WRAS operates the Water Industry’s scheme for approving water fittings and materials for compliance with the regulations. Products approved by the scheme have been shown to comply with the requirements of the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 and amendments.
